Thaksin is back in town

Posted by admin on Feb 29 2008 | Thai News

I like most people have been a bit suprised by Thaksins return to Thailand. I again like everyone else have mixed feelings about this. And although I for one am not sure, some Thais welcome him back with open arms.

LIT-Post

When Thaksin arrived, he kissed the ground. He has been gone for a long time and I’m sure that flight from Hong Kong was a bit nerve-racking. Not knowing what he was going to do when he landed might have put a lot of pressure on him. But considering he went straight to the courthouse, I don’t think he had much time to think about it. The flight from Hong Kong is not very long. Now he is out on bail and awaits his court date.

Thaksin has promised that he will not be involved with politics again. He has stated that he wants to die on Thailand soil. I can understand that. But what if he travels to the football field of Manchester United. What if he gets sick there and dies. That would suck for not really dying on Thai soil but I wish him the best.

Some will say that his politics were evil and some will say that he did a great deed for Thailand. I for one am not sure what he has done. I am not a revenge kind of person so I think that he should go to trial and let the facts be presented there and if he is found guilty then he must serve his time. I’m sure the Thai justice system is up to par for that…

Below are the charges. Soure is Bangkok Post:
